The intent of The Friends of Osceola Fire and Rescue is to promote social welfare through our charitable contributions to the common good and general welfare of the community in which we serve. Our fundraising events and opportunities are to provide charitable financial releif to the Osceola Fire Department with raised funds to go toward equipment needs of apparatus and Firefighter personal safety.
The Fire Department promotes life safety for all citizens through education, code enforcement, emergency rescue services, and non-emergency support services. The Osceola Fire Department serves the Village of Osceola and the Town of Farmington. The volunteer department is headed by Chief Don Stark.
The Fire Department annually inspects all commercial buildings for compliance with the State Fire Code. The fire suppression services provided by the Osceola Fire Department have an ISO rating of 5 which places the department in the top 25% of all departments in the country.
The mission of Osceola Fire-Rescue Department: To minimize loss of life and property for the Village of Osceola and contracting jurisdictions from fire, natural disaster, life-threatening situations and to provide non-emergency support services as a secondary activity.
To perform these services in an efficient manner by maintaining effective fire prevention, fire suppression, emergency response and training.
