First State Montessori Academy Inc

First State Montessori Academy (FSMA) opened its doors in 2014 as the State of Delaware's first Montessori charter school. Our school is located at 1000 French St., Wilmington, DE 19801 in a beautiful downtown location.

The mission of the First State Montessori Academy is to create successful, contributing, life-long learners in a Montessori public educational program for students in Kindergarten through 6th grade.

First State Montessori Academy provides parents and students with an authentic, time-tested, Montessori education in a public school.  We believe that the creation of a Montessori public school in New Castle County, DE improves student learning, allows for greater choice for parents, and serves as a model for alternative approaches to education by providing a proven and innovative teaching and learning environment.

Before FSMA, access to the Montessori model of education in Delaware has been through a tuition-based path. FSMA provides greater access to Montessori's proven model for the children of Delaware

As a charter school, we need all the additional recources we can get to support the 350 students enrolled at FSMA. All donations will be used to support students and classrooms. Please give generously to help our school be the best it can be!
