Father's Love

Father’s Love exists in the heart of downtown Shelbyville to bring holistic transformation to children, youth, and families through spiritual development, Christian community development, and strategic partnerships. Our vision is to see every student grow in Godly character, be rooted in their identity in Christ, and flourish in leadership to impact their communities and the world. We have three avenues of serving students in our community: Dreamers Rise (elementary program), Arise (middle & high program) and Backpack (food program). 

Dreamers Rise is a holistic program for K-5th grade students that includes education, spiritual development, and enrichment activities to further expose students to careers, skills, and activities meeting twice a week. 

At Arise, we want to bring youth to faith and fellowship in Jesus Christ. Our prayer is that all youth will know the plan and purpose that God has for their lives. We do this by teaching God’s word and molding Jesus in everything that we do through education and spiritual development. 

The Backpack Program provides weekend nourishment to over 500 children each week, who are identified as being in need by teachers, school counselors, and/or other school administrators. Currently, there is approximately an 11.1% rate of Shelby County’s population under the age of 18 facing food insecurities. Our goal is to make sure these students across all Shelby County Public Schools have food for weekends and school breaks. Food backpacks include easy-to-prepare, kid-friendly meals that a child can warm up or open without any help.
