Family Resource Center of the Redwoods

The FRC of the Redwoods provides services that support and nurture families in Del Norte County. 

We provide a welcoming, safe and nurturing environment

to strengthen and support healthy relationships

for children and families in Del Norte County.

Our organization operates Pacific Pantry, a choice-based food pantry located at the Family Resource Center of the Redwoods. Please check out our fundraising campaign for the Pacific Pantry. This holiday season we are asking our community to gift a family a meal and help stock the pantry with nutritious foods throughout the holiday and beyond. 

Our North Fresh Pacific Mobile Market trucks visit the outlying communities of Klamath, Smith River, and Gasquet every month. Launched in April 2021, the Mobile Market brings the same Choice Nutrition food program offered at the Pacific Pantry directly to these communities.

Since our founding in 2010, we have:

• Organized numerous cooking and gardening workshops
• Created local celebrations of Food Day
• Supported school and community gardens
• Promoted local foods, farmers, and farmers markets
• Facilitated Del Norte’s Emergency Food and Shelter Program funding stream
• Brought Market Match funding to Del Norte’s farmers markets
• Helped to expand Del Norte County Unified School District’s Seamless Summer Meals program
