Healthy Homes

EHW’s historical work contributed to the creation of the 10 Principles of a Healthy Home used by Housing and Urban Development and the National Center for Healthy Housing. Specifically, EHW’s work inspired the first 7 principles. The EHW Healthy Homes Programming works to assess, develop a plan of action, and remediate homes in Cleveland.

Healthy People

EHW believes in the overall health and wellbeing of the people. EHW’s work in the Healthy People program advocates for resources, food, and justice to eliminate negative social determinants of health including racism, poverty, sexism, and limited knowledge of political power. EHW works to partner and engage citizens to advocate for themselves, realize and exercise their power for the betterment of their communities and quality of life. 

Healthy Communities

EHW believes that every community should consist of an ecosystem designed with the value of people and place in mind to ensure the function and holistic strength intrinsic to communal living. The goal of this programming is to create a natural social cohesion which prioritizes solidarity and relationships between people beyond all constructed demographic divides.
