Earthaction Alerts Network

EarthAction, launched in 1992 at the Earth Summit, is a global action network with over 2,600 member organizations in 165 countries and thousands of policymakers, journalists and citizens worldwide.

EarthAction has organized over 90 global campaigns finding solutions to the world’s most pressing environment, development, peace, and human rights problems. Our global campaigns have mobilized local and global action that have played a key role in saving forests in Asia, Africa, and North and South America. Working together, we have protected the rights of indigenous peoples, provided healthcare to women, education to children, preserved clean water, and reduced the threat of nuclear war.

2020 Action, EarthAction's project based in Amherst, MA, engages citizens in effective action on critical environment and peace-related issues. Every month, 2020  sends an action postcard to its members. Each postcard is focused on one timely and important issue and provides all the information needed to send a message to a policymaker facing a decision on that issue. Each postcard features a photo that celebrates the beauty and wonder of the natural world.

2020 Action, founded in 1986, has a long track record of successes. As a result of our campaigns and collaboration with others, there are now fewer nuclear weapons in the world and a global ban on chemical weapons. Our nation also has cleaner water, cleaner air, and more protected old-growth forests.
