Composers & Schools

Incorporated in 2011, Composers & Schools occupies a unique space in the performing arts and music education community by linking professional composers and youth music ensembles to provide learning opportunities that align with the professional music-making industry. Composers & Schools holds an active role in the national landscape of music education, having served more than 95 schools in 35 states Composers & Schools brings leading contemporary composers into the classroom to mentor the next generation musicians, creators and music advocates.

Your gift to Composers & Schools provides an opportunity for high school music students to participate in the creation of a new piece of music written specifically for them.  

You Receive

Donors who give $1,000 or greater toward a composer commission will be acknowledged as the underwriter of a composer commission. You will receive a composer-signed copy of a score with your name acknowledged in the credits of the score along with a professional recording of the piece performed by the student ensemble.
