Childsplay is an internationally respected theatre company that performs for children and families in Arizona, believing that all young people deserve access to the benefits of arts education. Respect for children's intelligence and creativity drives the organization to provide arts education programs to more than 600 schools across the state. Arizona teachers rely on Childsplay to provide low-cost arts education experiences for their students. Through a wide range of education-based programs, including School Touring Performances, Field Trips, Education Outreach, and a Theatre Academy of classes for young people, Childsplay reaches 250,000 children and families each year. The majority of these children are in low-income or rural communities who would not otherwise have access to theatre. These opportunities for creative, kinesthetic learning have a direct and meaningful impact on students' capacity for creativity and innovation.
