CHILD CARE RESOURCE CENTER CULTIVATES CHILD, FAMILY AND COMMUNITY WELL-BEING.
Did you know that 22% percent of children in San Bernardino County are living below the poverty line? Through our annual Book & Toy Drive we work to can change the way children and families in our service area experience the holiday season.
It takes the support of community members like you to make this possible. With your donations, we are able to invite families to a festive day of hot chocolate, treats and crafts and send children home with gifts just for them. Every child deserves a happy holiday!
Did you know that only 1 book is available to every 300 children in low-income neighborhoods? Our literacy campaign “What a Difference a Book Makes” collects age appropriate books for children zero to twelve. It is the agency’s belief that the cognitive benefits of literacy are immeasurable and largely impact the ability of an economy to generate and sustain wealth. The campaign is designed to increase the reading skills of young children, their parents and family members.
We are working to build family libraries. Every child that visits our offices receives a book. Every child. Every day.
Did you know that CCRC is keenly focused on the importance of the first five years of a child's life? Our services emphasize the necessity for access to high quality early learning environments. Through our involvement in Quality Start San Bernardino County (QSSB) we educate parents and the public on what quality looks like, and equip child care providers with training, resources, and professional development support.
High quality early learning programs for toddlers and infants are a key ingredient to closing the opportunity gap, leveling the playing field, and making sure all of our children have the best odds for success.
CCRC is building better futures for SB County children. We provide critical services to an underserved population with a focus on quality, education, development and advocacy.
As a private non-profit, CCRC assists with issues such as finding and selecting child care and vocational training. Children and families benefit from these programs, allowing parents to go to work and attend school, contribute to the economy and strengthen their families and the community. CCRC’s Child Development Specialists offer parents and child care professionals assistance ranging from finding special needs child care and child development ages and stages to marketing child care businesses and CPR training and certification.
CCRC has advocated for children and families in Southern California for the last forty plus years. Presently, we operate in Northern LA County and the entirety of San Bernardino County. That means in SB County alone, we implement programs throughout the expansive 20,000 square mile service area. We have adapted to accommodate the vast geography as well as the diverse needs by utilizing online training, long distance coaching and hosting events throughout the county.
