Cheer Fort Lauderdale Inc

Cheer Fort Lauderdale is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit cheerleading organization composed of LGBTQ+ and ally adults. Since our inception, we have been a vibrant part of South Florida, performing at various events while steadfastly supporting our community. Our mission is to empower and uplift LGBTQ+ youth through cheerleading, fundraising, and community engagement.

Our Purpose:

Like many of the young people we strive to help, Aleksandr, our founder, was kicked out of his home for being gay after graduating high school. During a period of homelessness, he found vital support through community programs. These experiences inspired him to create Cheer Fort Lauderdale as a way to give back.

Our team is dedicated to raising funds for organizations like SunServe, which provides essential services to LGBTQ+ youth in need. SunServe offers free counseling, therapy, and activities focused on life skills, transitioning to adulthood, gender identity exploration, and managing gender dysphoria. They also support families of gender-diverse children.

With your help, we raised over $4,000 last season for SunServe. We are committed to continuing our support for this organization and others like it, working to create a safe and inclusive environment for all LGBTQ+ youth.

Established in 2021, CHEER Fort Lauderdale has been uplifting the South Florida community. Our performances inspire and encourage audiences, while our South Florida Spirit Fund raises money for local LGBTQ+ charities. We have cultivated a diverse and inclusive team that values individuality and embraces all genders, sexual orientations, ethnicities, body types, and socio-economic backgrounds. We are committed to promoting respect and equality within our group and throughout the South Florida community. In just a few years, we have become a prominent philanthropic organization in South Florida. Guided by a dedicated Board of Directors, CHEER Fort Lauderdale continues to advance its mission of supporting and empowering our LGBTQ+ youth community.
