The Chatfield Edge

The Chatfield Edge opens paths to education for adult students. 

The Chatfield Edge is a FREE nonprofit organization that serves first-generation and non-traditional students facing challenges that can make post-secondary education seem out-of-reach.

We envision a world where underserved students are equipped with the resources to reach their education and life goals, increasing their employability and deepening their impact on their families and communities. 

Whether education occurs in a college or university setting, a trade school, or a certificate program, the unique support we provide gives our scholars The Chatfield Edge.

Ready to return to school but don't know where to start? 

Our staff works one-on-one with students to remove obstacles that can get in the way of achieving educational goals. We help students to: 

• Choose a field of study and school
• Apply for admittance  
• Find scholarships and fill-the-gap financial aid
• Foster and develop confidence in meeting postsecondary educational goals 
• Developing solid study habits 
• Navigate processes after enrollment 
• Mentorship 
• Servant leadership opportunities

With The Chatfield Edge by their side, limitations are replaced by the promise of a rewarding career that provides permanent stability for each student and their family.

Our work is rooted in the educational legacy of the Ursuline Sisters of Brown County, and we welcome people of all faith or no faith backgrounds.
