$2,500 Goal

In the summer of 1966, Jim Hall, then Director of Music at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, placed an ad in a local newspaper, calling on amateur musicians to unite and form a community concert band. His vision was to create a relaxed and enjoyable outlet for former high school and college band members to continue making music.

Since those humble beginnings, the Charlotte Concert Band has flourished for 59 years, becoming a treasured part of Charlotte's performing arts community. We provide amateur musicians the opportunity to participate in exceptional concert performances while fostering lasting friendships.

This Giving Tuesday, we kindly ask for your support to strengthen our organization and help it thrive during these challenging times. Our fundraising goal for the 2024 campaign is $2,500.

Your contribution enables us to continue delivering high-quality music to the Charlotte community, preserving a tradition that spans more than half a century, and ensuring music remains a vital part of our musicians' lives.

We invite you to contribute, knowing that every gift, no matter the size, makes a meaningful impact. Thank you in advance for your support, and we look forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming performances.
