The Board of Directors ◦Central Virginia Public Access Television Corporation (CVTV) is a 501(c)3 corporation made up of a group of active members of our communities with the goal to make a positive impact with the creation of CVTV. CVTV mission is to provide the communities of Central Virginia programs with purpose, meaning and excellence through the voice of Public Access Television. Our programming will focus on several areas. Education ◦We plan to be a hallmark of educational support by: ·Airing and producing programming specifically for younger children. ·Providing teens and young adults the opportunity to produce quality programming, while expanding their knowledge of possible career paths. ·Creating opportunities for adults to extend and or learn new skills. Creativity  ◦Through the medium of television we hope to create a place for individuals to express themselves in creative ways. Promote Learning Develop programming for the people of our communities and getting them involved with the production of programs will motivate them to learn and expand their knowledge of the Central Virginia area and the world. CVTV does not seek to replace traditional education sources but to be an advocate and an additional resource for learning. Through the medium of television we hope to create a place for individuals to learn and gain a greater knowledge and interest of the people and the world around them. Influential  ◦CVTV intends to be an integral, positive, and constructive, part of the communities we serve. By developing programs that are focus on community involvement, awareness and showing the special identity and creativity of the people of our area. Locally Focused CVTV’s programming will focus on the CVTV coverage area, and then seek to expand the knowledge and interest around the Central Virginia Area. Our area is unique to our great country in that you can explore quaint cafes in our cities, rolling hills that are lined with vineyards, riverfront venues, arts festivals, off-Broadways shows and so much more. CVTV will work tirelessly with people in our local communities to promote local people, news and events that showcase this areas charm and beauty.
