Carteret County Humane Society & Shelter Inc.

Our mission is to rescue and provide a safe, compassionate and enriched existence for homeless and abused pets while building a community that embraces and encourages the extraordinary bond between humans and animals. 

We take in over 3,200 homeless and abused animals a year and provide food, love, attention, exercise, medical care and behavioral support while trying to find them loving responsible forever homes. CCHS is a non-profit organization located in Newport, NC that accepts stray and owner surrendered animals for Carteret County.
