Camp Not-A-Wheeze is a unique recreational and educational program that has helped children ages 7-14 with moderate to severe asthma, chronic lung conditions, and allergic conditions (such as EoE, food allergies, atopic dermatitis, etc), along with their families, learn effective disease management skills so they can lead active lives while successfully managing their chronic condition.

This is our story and my share with our friends and family; So most of you know that Nick suffered from asthma terribly as a child, we were fortunate that he has grown out of this as he has gotten older. When he was young he felt different from his peers and struggled at times. When he was about 2 grade we found camp-not-a-wheeze through his asthma specialist. He was able to go to camp and ride horses and swim and do all kinds of amazing camp things that a "sick" child would not get to do! I mean this was the year he missed 52 days of school? So for 3 years this kid went to camp learned about his asthma did all the things that kids do at camp while under the supervision of medical staff. He became more comfortable with his situation and he opened up was more outgoing. It really made a big difference in his life. He said when he got older he wanted to go back and make a difference in a child's life someday well 2017 and he went back as a counselor in training and had an amazing time with the staff some that are still there from when he was there as a kid! And he did make a difference in some kids life's he has recently received 2 emails from parents thanking him for his influence on their children. Now the camp does not have the funding to continue, to be able to breathe is so important we take this for granted. We don't think about what a gift this is, So please family and friends share this as many times for me let's try and find the right people to help fund this. Thank you for reading this ❤️.
