Brigitte & Bobby Sherman Childrens Foundation

There are over 50 million orphans and street children in Africa. Whether orphaned by AIDS, civil warfare, disease or other tragedy, these children need our love, support, and inspiration. The Brigitte and Bobby Sherman Children's Foundation felt that building a " Musical Village" rather than an orphanage, would bring joy into the community and give a sense of pride for these children as they grow up and tell their stories. The children supported by the Brigitte & Bobby Sherman Children's Foundation will be educated to the highest standards and will be provided a music program to keep traditional African music alive in their community of Ada. The children will also be taught skills, such as growing their own food and surplus to sell to neighboring villages. In Africa, the drum is the life force of their musical traditions. These children will find their voice through the gift of music. 

We have purchased 5 acres of land in Ada, Ghana and will break ground on building the first dormitories on April 1st, 2012. Help us raise $25,000 so that we can simultaneously build a kitchen for our village.
