The Boyce L. Ansley School Inc.

The Boyce L Ansley School is a tuition-free, private school for children of families who have experienced homelessness in Atlanta. Our mission is to empower children who experience homelessness to thrive beyond circumstance.  

Homelessness exposes children to many risk factors for school underperformance, including frequent and lengthy absences, trauma, transience, poor nutrition and medical care. TAS believes that children experiencing homelessness can be successful in a school where their unique needs are met. TAS accomplishes this through small class size, individualized instruction and robust support of students’ physical, social, emotional, and academic needs through the Family Support Program. TAS does not charge tuition, and transportation, meals and snacks, uniforms and school supplies are provided free of charge. 

We currently serve children in grades pre-K through 3rd grade and plan to add an additional grade each year in order to become a Pre-K through 8th grade school.
