Assembly of God

Our society is becoming filled with more problems and dysfunction in people's lives.  Unless a person's soul is healed from all of the hurts and disappointments in life they will turn to things that will make them feel better.  Some of the things people turn to are drugs and alcohol because they provide a temporary relief from reality.  Teen Challenge is a life changing experience to free people from addictions.  Its a highly successful God centered program that frees people from long term addiction.  While in the program people have a schedule that structures their life so they can work through their addictions.  When they leave Teen Challenge it would be beneficial for them to have a place to go where they can have structure yet start to be intgrated back into a community where they can rebuild their lives.  This would include them having an opportunity to get a job, be invovled in a church doing hands on ministry and having a place to live.  I am the Pastor at Bushnell Assembly of God in Bushnell Illinois.  I currently have a couple that sees this vision and is willing to let God use this ministry to change peoples lives.  They came from a life of alcoholism and now have been freed and want to help others that come from a life of addictions. This program would be benficial because it would integrate them back into a community so they could be an asset and productive member. I have personally known people that have left Teen Challenge and still needed a modified support network that allows them to provided the structure to continue the change that happened in theirvlives at Teen Challenge.  This program is open to anyone that needs help and wants to turn their life around. This is a faith based program that focuses on God being the power to change someone's life.
