Amery Youth Hockey Association

Our beloved Zamboni is the hardest working ice resurfacer in Polk County, keeping AYHA's sheet of ice the smoothest and fastest possible.  AYHA ice has been voted “BEST ICE IN THE REGION” (according to our internal judges).  The Zamboni shaves the bumpy ice surface and then applies a layer of hot water to the ice surface that freezes to a shiny smooth finish. The hot water in the Zamboni has been provided by a tired 25 year old hot water heater which stopped working.  A new hot water heater was recently purchased but took a toll on our budget. We are hoping for your financial donation to help pay for it and keep our hockey players skating, shooting and scoring all season long.  "Kids on ice are seldom in hot water"…but we need hot water to make good ice!

 Amery Youth Hockey Association consists of approximately 100 families committed to maintaining a highly reputable indoor hockey arena.  Our active group of individuals sustains a recreation center in the small town of Amery Wisconsin, providing hockey fans a place to play and watch indoor hockey. Hockey parents, grandparents and friends make a commitment to provide all AYHA players with an exceptional hockey experience. Youth involved with AYHA play the “coolest game on earth” while getting weekly physical exercise and learning the life lessons of teamwork and sportsmanship.  AYHA offers fun and healthy family recreation for the community every Friday night and Sunday afternoon through open skating opportunities.  Skates are available to rent, and hot cocoa available for purchase; good music, time with friends and memories are free.
