The Foundation of the Alliance for Community Media

Every community and every person has a story to tell.  

For too many of us, mainstream commercial media ignore  our stories, or exploit them for commercial gain. 

Community Media organizations are devoted to the idea that all communities should have the ability to tell their own stories in our media, and we should be able to use the media to understand and engage with our communities, to understand our local government, and to educate ourselves.

The ACM Foundation supports education about Community Media, and bettering the lives of communities who have these channels.
