Asheville Latin Americans Achieving Success

OUR MISSION: 

Asheville Latin-Americans Achieving Success (ALAS) is a Latinx-led nonprofit organization that develops Latinx leadership in Buncombe County and improves access to education through mentoring, training, and scholarship.

ALAS works directly with the local Latinx community by (1) providing scholarships to undocumented students and students with DACA who have graduated from a high school in Western North Carolina and/or are attending colleges and universities in WNC, and (2) preparing new Latinx leaders for positions that help effect change through nonprofit board mentorships.

ALAS is currently raising funds for scholarships for the 2022–23 school year.
