Your donation can help someone with AIDS in western Massachusetts to buy medication.

 Imagine struggling with the recession and with HIV/AIDS. AFWM provides emergency financial assistance for low income people living with HIV/AIDS to pay for medication, rent, utilities, and other basic needs of life.

From 2013-2015 our Emergency Financial Aid Resource program has provided over $105,000 of financial assistance to 427 applicants.  The basis of our foundation was built upon the premis of helping those with HIV/AIDS in times of financial hardship, and this program is the heart of our mission at the AIDS Foundation of Western Massachusetts.

Your donation can pay for a local child infected or affected by HIV/AIDS to go to summer camp.

Kids have HIV/AIDS too. And kids live with family members who have HIV/AIDS. AFWM lets kids forget about this for a while and just have fun. We paid for 8 kids infected or affected by HIV/AIDS to go to summer camp in 2015. Our financial commitment this year is for 10, please consider making a contribution allowing this program to grow and more children to have access to summer camps and programs.

Your donation can fund support groups and education for people who are infected and affected.

Living Positive, our monthly peer-led support group for men living with HIV/AIDS, inspires them to lead rich, vibrant lives and brings in experts to teach group-selected topics such as navigating medications, relationships, and stigma. 

Our Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day Conference is the only Western MA educational event on the often-neglected issues of women and girls with HIV/AIDS. This year's conference will be focused on a Women's Journey Towards Wholeness, assessing the barriers HIV positive women face in gaining access to care that treats the whole person mind, body, and spirit.
