The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge Salt Lake City

The American Cancer Society has a long history of providing lifesaving programs and services and is committed to improving the quality of life for patients and their families. Getting the right care sometimes means cancer patients must travel away from home, often to a cancer treatment facility in another city, which places even more of an emotional and financial burden during what is already a challenging time.

The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in Salt Lake City serves as a home away from home to the entire Intermountain West, including patients from rural Utah, as well as from surrounding states. The Hope Lodge is designed to meet the particular needs of the cancer patients and caregivers. With 40 suites, the Hope Lodge will serve nearly 800 patients annually.

On October 19, 2015, the Hope Lodge in Salt Lake City opened their doors to guests and caregivers. In the 5 1/2 months they have been opened, over 700 guests and caregivers have stayed and over 4000 nights of free lodging have been provided.
